The $20 million centre, slated to open before Christmas 2024, will include ninja warrior courses, interactive climbing walls, indoor playgrounds, a high ropes course, mini golf, a cafe, restaurant and tiki bar.

The two-level venue at 2 McLennan Ct will incorporate play areas for all ages, from toddlers to teens. Kids can challenge themselves on the ninja course with sway poles, swinging rings and warped walls. The interactive climbing walls will feature colourful hand grips and footholds.

Construction company Fore Group has been contracted to complete the new build and fit out. According to Mayor Peter Flannery, the centre is expected to create 100 local jobs and generate $5.6 million in economic activity annually by their third year of operation.

Lachlan Walker, owner of Jungle Adventure Play in Tingalpa, said they identified Moreton Bay as a major growth region managed by a business-friendly Council and chose the North Lakes location due to its strong family demographic, which aligned with the company’s core values of creating interactive play spaces where kids of all ages can challenge themselves and have fun.

“As a family-owned and operated business, we know how important it is to connect and grow with the community,” Mr Walker said.

Deputy Mayor and local Councillor Jodie Shipway welcomed the new indoor play centre, saying it will be a fantastic addition to North Lakes and the surrounding region.

She said the centre will give local families a safe, friendly and sun-protected venue for play and recreation. Shipway added that the centre is sure to be popular with residents while also helping attract visitors to the North Lakes area.

The play centre adds to North Lakes’ growing family-friendly offerings, including the recently approved $70 million eco-tourism hotel nearby.
